We spent one beautiful spring morning exploring a few parks in Austin. First, we stopped by Brentwood Neighborhood Park at 6710 Arroyo Seco, Austin. This park has several different playscapes, perfect for all age groups. There’s even a pool, sports fields, a covered pavilion, and walking path.
The smaller playscape
I love this park so much because the playground suits kids of all ages. My 3 year old loved playing on the smaller playscape, however my older kids loved the bigger ones. Everyone was able to find something fun to play on!
The bigger playscapes
Even though he was too scared to go down the higher slides, my 3 year old had fun exploring the bigger playscapes as well.
Other parts of the park
The little sand pit and covered pavilion really make this park such a great place for meeting up with friends. The pool was closed the day we went. However, we will definitely be back for a swim someday! If you play sports, you can bring your balls and equipment and play tennis, basketball, field sports, and more. Austin Active Kids Opinion
We just loved this park! There is plenty to do for kids of all ages. It’s much bigger than a typical neighborhood park. It would make a perfect spot for meeting up with friends or hosting a birthday party.
Outing Time
We spent about an hour here. However, had the pool been open we would have definitely spent hours swimming and playing here.
Reminders
Bring sand toys! If the pool is open, bring swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, and plenty of water to drink. Check here to see if the pool is open. Bring snacks or a picnic and eat under the covered pavilion or at a picnic table. Bring sports balls, tennis rackets, etc.
