Why Jester King Brewery is Perfect For Families

June 19, 2021

We celebrated Mother’s Day out at Jester King Brewery and loved every minute! Here’s why Jester King Brewery is the perfect place for families with kids of all ages to hang out.

The Space

Jester King Brewery is spaciously laid out. It sits on a 165 acre ranch in Texas Hill Country and they really make the best use of their space. It never feels crowded, even though it can hold a lot of people. Picnic tables are placed around the farm and fields, both in groups and spread out and separated. You can choose to have a completely secluded experience if you’d like, or hang out with larger groups all together.

The Open Field

One of the best things about hanging out here is the big open field. One of our friends brought their soccer goals and a soccer ball, so the kids in our group could play with each other and some other kids who joined their game. We had kids as old as 18 all the way down to 3 years old and they all had fun and had things to do. Next to the field and also by some of the picnic tables was as small sand pit that my 3 year old enjoyed. He even made some new friends over there!

The Goats

Goats! Even baby goats! This was a very exciting part of our visit to Jester King Brewery. We loved taking a stroll around the grounds to visit with the goats.

The Food

We all enjoyed the pizza, bread, and pretzels we ordered. We stayed long enough to eat a second lunch while we were there! Their crust is sourdough and their pizza is wood-fired, so it all just felt very special and extra delicious.

The Beer

The kids enjoyed the lemonade while the adults all sipped on different homebrews. My husband tried their sour beer flight which was so different from anything we’ve ever had before!

Austin Active Kids Opinion

We loved being able to spend the day out here. It was relaxing for the adults and fun for the kids. We definitely can’t wait to go back. It’s the perfect place to meet up with friends and kids of all ages!

Outing Time

We spent over 4 hours here. The kids ages ranged from 3-18 and they were all having fun and were entertained the entire time so the adults could just talk, drink beer, and relax. We ordered more food as needed and really loved the chill atmosphere.
