Virg Rabb Playground at old Settlers

April 4, 2021

The Virg Rabb Playground at Old Settlers Park is on my top favorite parks in Round Rock list! Most people check out the Joanne Land Playground when they’re up this way, but this one was just as fun and way less crowded!

Virg Rabb Playground Features

This playground has so many cool features, especially for kids who love to CLIMB! Monkey bars, nets, twisty bars, etc. I love the spinning chair and the bigger swing too.

There is one of these spinning things too!

How to find Virg Rabb Playground

When you enter Old Settlers Park, just keep following the main road around through the park, just past Rock N’ River. The Virg Rabb Playground is right next to the Cricket Practice cages. There are also restrooms right next to the playground. The giant covered pavilion here would make for a perfect gathering or party as well!

Austin Active Kids Opinion

This playground kept my kids happy for over an hour. We also found a few bluebonnets here in the field next to the playground! The bigger, more popular playground at old Settlers Park, Joanne Land Playground, is usually where we always go. But we are so glad we decided to stop at this one for a change!

Reminders

There are restrooms nearby, as well as benches and tables under a covered pavilion. The playground is also next to walking trails and a disc golf course. Wear sunscreen and bring water and snacks.

Outing Time

We spent a little bit over an hour here. Hat Creek and Salt Lick are nearby, so you could add one of those fun spots to your Round Rock adventure! Go here for more Round Rock fun!
